Julia enjoys stretching her imagination and making sculptural and useful art that is pleasing to the eye. On many occasions, she has designed and built items for the first time, just because a customer requested a special piece.
Julia enjoys donating pieces to art auctions raising money for local non-profits. The vase above was made in collaboration with Eric Ciampanella, a glass blower, and donated to a fundraiser for Statesville’s local homeless shelter.
She has completed several commissions and has recently shown her work locally. Julia particularly enjoys working in collaboration with the client which enables the design to evolve into a one-of-a-kind solution.
Commissions may encompass a small vessel or large weathervane. Julia has received phone calls from customers with ideas for Christmas presents, birthday gifts or simply a home accessory. Whatever the idea, please call or email Julia to discuss in more detail.
